The free tier gives you 3 chats/day and an unlimited encrypted journal to start with.

Not for the core experience — every member of your church plan gets encrypted journal, prayer wall, reading plans, sermon follow-up, and an AI Bible Chat monthly allowance included. Heavy AI users (more than 75–100 chats/month depending on tier) can add a Personal subscription for their own 200 chats a month. We keep the per-member allowance generous enough that most members never notice the limit.
Each AI chat costs real money in language-model inference. Without a per-member allowance, a single 500-member church could generate hundreds of dollars in inference cost against a $129 plan — which would force us to either raise prices for everyone or pull the feature. The allowance covers ~2-3 chats/day for the heaviest members and leaves everyone else with plenty of headroom.
One subscription covers up to 6 family members. Each person gets their own fully private account — family members cannot see each other's journal entries. Privacy is enforced by encryption, not just policy.
No. Your prayers are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your password via PBKDF2-SHA256 with 600,000 iterations. We store ciphertext — scrambled data that is mathematically impossible for us to decrypt.
Your recovery code — shown once during onboarding, and re-issuable anytime from Settings — restores your encryption key so you can set a new password without losing anything. If you still know your current password, changing it simply re-wraps your keys automatically. Lose both the password and the recovery code, and your encrypted data is unrecoverable — that's the proof the encryption is real.
