Email us at support@praying-app.com. Write from the email address you use for Praying, and tell us which device you use (iPhone, Android or web). We usually reply within a few days.
We will never ask for your password or your recovery code. Please do not send them to us or to anyone else.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and we will email you a code to set a new password. Because your password is also your encryption key, your existing journal, chats and reminders stay locked after a reset. When the app asks you to unlock them, choose Use recovery code instead and enter the recovery code you saved when you signed up. Your data is kept and locked again with your new password.
Without your old password or your recovery code, your encrypted content cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. You can still start fresh: on the unlock screen, choose I don't have my recovery code. This erases your journal, Bible Chat history and reminders, which can no longer be read, and sets up new encryption with your current password. Your account, subscription, church, groups and prayer stats stay. The app then shows you a new recovery code to save. On the web, the same option is on the Recover page.
The recovery code is shown once, when you create your account, and we never see it. If you lost it but can still sign in, create a new one in Settings, Security, Recovery code. The new code replaces the old one, so save it somewhere safe, such as a password manager.
Sign in to Praying with the same account, and make sure your phone uses the same Apple ID or Google account you bought the subscription with. Then open Settings, Subscription, See plans, and tap Restore purchases at the bottom of the plans screen.
Personal and Family subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not in the app. On iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Church plans are billed by Stripe: the person who pays can cancel at church.praying-app.com, under Billing. See our Refund Policy for refunds.
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account at the bottom. You can also do it on the web or by email, even without the app. Our account deletion page explains every option and what is deleted.
In the app, open Settings and choose Download my data. Your journal, reminders and chats are decrypted on your device for the export, and you can save or share the result.
Tap the options menu next to a post, comment, message or member and choose Report or Block user. Reports go to our moderators, who review them and remove content that breaks our Terms of Use, typically within 24 hours. Blocking hides that person's posts, messages and comments from you, and they are not notified. You can undo a block in Settings, Privacy, Blocked users. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
No. Bible Chat is an AI study aid. It is not professional, medical or pastoral advice, and it can make mistakes.
